蕎麥臺中2號之育成

The Breeding of a New Buckwheat (F. Tataricum Gaertn) Variety Taichung No. 2

摘要


為提高蕎麥單位面積產量及提早生育日數,於1997年引進9個韃靼蕎麥品種進行特性觀察,結果發現TCPS1具有優良農藝性狀及高生產力,於是利用混合選種法選出臺中選19號參加1999年~2001年新品系比較試驗,由於農藝性狀及產量表現優越,參加2002~2003年新品系區域試驗,並於2003及2004年進行新品系栽培法試驗、品質檢定及抗病蟲檢定,因具有早熟、每平方公尺株數及每株結實粒數多、產量高及富營養成分等特性,於2005年12月20日獲准登記命名為臺中2號並推廣之。

In order to improve the productivity and shorten the growth period of buckwheat in Taiwan, 9 varieties of Tatary buckwheat were introduced during 1997. In observation trials, the variety TCPS 1 showed superior agronomic traits and productivity to other varieties tested. A line Taichung No. 19 was selected through mass selection procedure and joined new lines comparison trials during 1999-2001. Due to the supreme agronomic performance and yield of this line, it was further put in new lines regional trials during 2002-2003. Cultivation method experiment, quality determination and pest resistant tests were subsequently conducted during 2003-2004. The line is early matured, high grain number per plant, can be planted in high density, and higher yield in consequence. The grain crude protein and crude fat of this line were also higher than the control. The line was approved and registered as Taichung No. 2 in December 20, 2005 to extend to farmers.
