大學生單車環島的參與動機

Participation Motivation of Cycling Around-Taiwan for College Students

摘要


本研究目的在瞭解大學生單車環島的參與動機。採質性研究方式,以立意取樣方式選取10位曾參與單車環島,且完成全程的大學生為研究對象,透過半結構式訪談、參與觀察及文件分析蒐集資料。所得資料以開放性編碼、主軸編碼及選擇性編碼進行歸納,比較與分析。結果發現大學生單車環島的參與動機包括自我實現(實現夢想、自我決定),挑戰極限(發揮忍受力、展現抗壓力),成就感(克服逆境的滿足感、享受在每一個過程中),及人際支持(家庭認同、夥伴支持、團隊精神)。單車環島參與者懷抱實現夢想、追求人生目標,挑戰自己的動機,以及自覺能勝任、有歸屬、能自主的狀況下,他(她)們竭盡所能的抵達終點,忍受及突破各種長時間的身心壓力與體能挑戰,也因此在完成環島後能充分滿足自我,肯定自己所做的一切努力與付出,以及深深感謝隊友一路的陪伴、激勵與幫助。

The purpose of this study was to understand the participation motivation of cycling around Taiwan for college students. Qualitative research method was adopted and by purposive sampling. Ten college students were selected who have finished successfully in cycling around Taiwan. The data were collected by in-depth semi-structured interview, participation in observation and document analysis. The data were summarized, compared and analyzed by open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The results show that the participative motivations includes self-realization (realizing dreams, self-determination), challenging the limit (exerting endurance, demonstrating resistance to stress), sense of accomplishment (satisfaction of overcoming adversity, enjoying in every process) Social support (family identification, partner support, team spirit). Cycling around the island, participants embracing dreams, pursuing life goals, challenging their own motives, and consciously capable, belonging, and autonomous, they do their best to reach the final, endure and break through various long-term physical and mental pressures and physical fitness challenges, so after completing the roundabout, they can fully satisfy them self, affirm all their hard work and dedications, and deeply thank their teammates for their company, encouragement and help along the way.
