良質米團隊依政策指示及產業需求成立,自成立至今各項成果相當豐碩:包括育成臺南13號等11個優質米品種及臺農76號(黃金米)等12個多樣化利用品種,並利用分子標誌輔助開發具低白堊質、耐穗上發芽、抗白葉枯病或高產能等基因之親本與新品系材料,101年命名之臺南16號即利用此方法育成之第一個水稻品種。此外並整合各區改良場合理化施肥技術、不同生產栽培管理技術之改進、水稻穩產田間診斷技術及稻田耕作制度調整等研究,具有減肥、低投入之節省成本及提升稻米品質之成效。進行開發米系列化妝品製造技術、米酒及醋釀造技術及各種米食加工如米麵包製造等加值利用技術。而為整合各項技術並落實團隊研發技術於稻米產銷專業區,98-101年計輔導成立150處的專區營運主體,以提升國產米市場競爭力及農民收益。
The good-quality rice team, set up according to the policy of Council of agriculture (COA), whose members was comprised the rice researchers of TARI and TDARES of COA has been obtained quite a fruitful outcome so far. There were several achievements of the team as follows: (1) Totally 23 new varieties such as good quality of Tainan 13 and diversified rice of Tainung 76 were bred and released; (2) Development using marker-aided selections on several important characteristics have created some newly potential lines in the selection populations of the lower chalkiness, the resistance to ear-sprouting and bacterial blight, etc.; (3) The results of the cultural managements about the technology of reasonable applying fertilizer, stable production on diagnosis and adjustment of cropping systems in paddy have the effects on the fertilizer amounts reduction, production cost saving and improvement of rice quality, etc.; (4) To develop the technologies for cosmetics manufacturing, rice wine and vinegar brewing, and the rice bread, etc. has increased the valuable usage of rice; (5) To implement the technologies of team research and development in production and marketing area has enhanced the competitiveness of domestic rice market and increased the farmers' income.
