With climate change, protected cultivation has gradually become mainstream of fruit and vegetable production. Whatever field or protected cultivation, pests have already changed due to climate or cultivation change. Crop and its production security therefore need to take interactions of crops, pest, and environment in full consideration. As for protected cultivation, we have to face pest community changes. Field cultivation shall also have to face pest outbreaks and extreme weather change. Thus we should revise proper control strategies for crop production security. In addition, increasing demands of agricultural products from consumers make farmers could not confine chemical control as the only control strategy. They should promote knowledge of pest and non-chemical pest control strategies to balance control performance and security of agricultural products.
