摘要

近年來台灣人口老化快速，2013年底65歲以上老人佔總人口11.53%，將近270萬人。為滿足在地老化需求並減輕家庭與社區照顧負擔，老人日間照顧中心以日常生活需他人協助之失能或失智老人為主要服務對象，其設置規劃與設計，對空間使用與後續照顧服務品質影響甚鉅。本文以老人日照中心為研究目標，探討先進國家發展特色、國內現況與面臨之困境以及地點與建物選擇、規劃設計之相關重點內容與建議，供建築及設計實務界參考，並透過有效空間及室內規劃設計，提升空間使用與照顧服務品質。

According to Ministry of the Interior, population of elders reached 2.7 million (11.53% of national population) in 2013. To allow elders to age in place and consequently relieve the burden on their families, elderly day care centers serve elders with disabilities and dementia by providing assistance in daily activities. The environment of day care centers plays a crucial role in space use and quality of care. This paper discussed the development of elderly day care centers in developed countries and Taiwan, and related issues, in order to establish the guidelines of selecting location and building type and planning and designs for architects and interior designers. Quality of space use and care services may be enhanced through effective space and indoor planning and designs.
