Breast cancer patients are a high-risk group for cancer-related fatigue (CRF). If not promptly prevented and addressed, CRF may lead to delays or interruptions in cancer treatment, exacerbating the disease and significantly affecting patients' quality of life and survival rates. This project aims to reduce the level of CRF in breast cancer patients. Currently, the average CRF level among breast cancer patients is 7.2 out of 10. Analysis identified key causes, including a lack of standardized care protocols for CRF in breast cancer patients, as well as insufficient educational materials such as manuals, tools, and training for healthcare personnel. The project implemented improvement strategies from May 10 to September 30, 2021, including developing standardized care protocols for breast cancer patients with CRF, planning staff training, and producing educational manuals and materials for patients. Following the implementation of the project, the CRF level among breast cancer patients decreased from 7.2 to 3.1. Additionally, the awareness and knowledge of care among nursing staff increased to 95%, and patient satisfaction with their care content improved from 1.7 to 4.3 out of 5. The project's objectives were achieved. The results of this project effectively reduced CRF levels in breast cancer patients. This approach can be extended to patients with other types of cancer, empowering them with greater motivation and confidence to continue their treatment journey while enhancing the overall quality of cancer care.
