Selecting informative items with Test Information Function An Application in Genetics Knowledge Scale

摘要


本研究之目的在於利用項目反應理論(IRT)中的試題訊息函數(TIF)來選取高資訊的題目。我們回顧TIF及IRT的理論,並以基因知識量表為實例來說明。我們以Samejima等級反應模型來分析數據,並且計算每個項目的訊息函數。結果顯示IRT和TIF對題目選擇及量表發展有所助益。

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how test information function (TIF) in item response theory (IRT) can be used to select informative items from a measurement scale. We provided a brief review of TIF and IRT and used genetics knowledge scale as an example. The data was estimated by Samejima's graded response model and test information function is calculated for each item. The results showed the usefulness of IRT and TIF in item selection and scale development
