THE IMPACT OF TECH SPECIFICATION AND PARTNERS' ATTRIBUTES ON INNOVATION PERFORMANCE

企業技術專屬性與合作夥伴屬性對創新績效影響之研究

摘要


Prior research has not indicated the influence of network structure by which distance between partners on its innovative performance. This study collects 54 Semiconductor IP Design firms for 10 years as a sample. We find that (1)The firm's innovative performance is U shaped function of the technological distance between alliance partners; (2)The more direct ties distance between alliances partners in a firm, the less the firm's innovative performance; (3)The more structural holes distance between alliance partners that a firm, the greater the firm's innovative performance. These results correspond to the previous study (Ahuja, 2000), and meet some arguments (Nooteboom et al., 2007; Gilsing et al., 2008).

過去的研究鮮少注意合作伙伴間差異,對創新績效的影響關係。本計畫蒐集54家設計IP企業10年間的資料,進行實證研究。結果發現:(1)企業創新績效與合作夥伴間技術距離呈現U型關係函數;(2)合作夥伴間直接連帶差異越大,將因吸收能耐與創新價值的作用,使得企業創新績效下降;(3)合作夥伴間直接連帶差異越大,將因吸收能耐與創新價值的作用,使得企業創新績效上升。本計畫統計結果呼應的過去的研究結果(Ahuja, 2000),以及可以與一些論文(Nooteboom et al., 2007; Gilsing et al., 2008)進行對話。
