The paper describes the algorithm for recovering the primary telemetric information about the current from the solar panels of a small satellite prototype 〞Aist〞. The period of the lifetime of the small satellite after the main battery break-down is analyzed. The features of the onboard equipment during this period are described. An algorithm has been developed for recovering current data from solar panels when one panel is disconnected from the battery charging circuit. Using the algorithm allows you to expand the time range that is suitable for analyzing of the measurement data. The results of the research can be used to analyze the small satellite rotational motion under similar conditions or when this satellite is partially inoperable. The proposed recovery algorithm can be used in the design of small satellites for technological purposes. Especially if it is intended to use current data obtained from solar panels as the only information to estimate the parameters of the rotational motion of the small satellite.
