建構長期照護機構內老人生命教育模式~以懷舊團體為策略

摘要


居住於長期照護機構的老人,常是罹患多種慢性疾病且生活功能需依賴他人,且入住機構之老人,家庭及社會支持系統也相較於居住於家中的老人來得差;這樣的健康情況及家庭與社會關係對於老人生命意義的統整有相當大的影響。以何種方式來影響老人因應的方式及態度,讓其達到自我統整及肯定也就成為老人健康照護之重要課題。懷舊團體在國內外文獻資料中被認為是自我統整的方式之一,並可維持老人身心健康及促進生活品質,維持正向情緒,提升與他人互動等。因此本文藉由整合SolCos懷舊團體模式及Peachy的老人自我統整理論,建構出自我統整為目的的懷舊團體模式,並與生命教育的理念、目的、內容及方法等四個層面相對照與分析,發現自我統整的懷舊團體模式所可達成的目標,與生命教育中協助學習者習得生命歷程圓融的知能相當符合,因此此模式的確可以作為長期照護機構中的生命教育策略。

Most of the elders who live in the long term care institutions have chronic illnesses. They need to someone to take care of and their social support systems are worse than other elders who live in community. According to this situation, reminiscence group therapy which has been recognized as an effective intervention by many surveys could help the elders to promote body and mental healthy, life quality ,matins positive emotion and raise interaction with other people. Therefore, this article combined the SolCos reminiscence group model and Peachy's elderly person integrity theory to construct a reminiscence group which purpose to help the elders to resolve self- integrity. And tried to contrast with philosophy, purpose, content, methods of life education in order to develop a model of the elder life education in long term care institutions.
