After reading Aristophanes' Plutus, I find some problems that plague our modern society-like the uneven distribution of wealth, the controversy of importing foreign laborers, the hypocritical nature of prostitution, the beguiling trap of superstition, and the outbreak of war-were also prevalent in the ancient world. Why our world does not become better after more than 2000 years' evolution? And what about the efficiency of improvements proposed by Aristophanes? These are the main issues my article tries to analyze.
