A Rare Case of Concordant NP-59 Scintigraphy Adrenal Carcinoma with Synchronous Castleman's Disease
病例報告：腎上腺皮質掃描顯影之腎上腺皮質癌併Castleman氏病
摘要
Concordant norcholesterol radiotracer uptake adrenocortical carcinoma is rare and thought to be related with functioning status and cellular differentiation. We report a 56-year-old female who received NP-59 scan under the surveillance of suspicious Cushing’s syndrome. A left adrenal tumor was found on computed tomography, which at the same time revealed a left lower abdominal mesenteric mass. NP-59 scan showed concordant radiotracer accumulation in left adrenal tumor and no radiotracer accumulation in the mesenteric mass. Pathological examination confirmed left adrenal cortical carcinoma, while the mesenteric mass was favored to be Castleman's disease. To our knowledge, this is also the first case of co-occurrence of adrenocortical carcinoma with Castleman's disease.
