Reverse Uptake Pattern on C-11 Acetate PET/MR After Y-90 Radioembolization

釔90放射性栓塞治療後於碳11正子/核磁共振攝影上所見之吸收反轉現象

摘要


A 72 years-old male patient with hepatocellar carcinomas received Y-90 radioembolization. The Y-90 internal pair production positron emission tomography (PET) and post-Y-90 C-11 acetate PET obtained on a hybrid PET/magnetic resonance (MR) scanner revealed "reverse uptake pattern"-complete response of treated tumor and increased C-11 acetate uptake in normal liver parenchyma induced by Y-90 particle deposition. With the help of state-of-the-art simultaneous PET/MR, one could infer that the increased uptake in liver parenchyma on C-11 acetate imaging was caused by post-treatment change, instead of misreading it as treatment failure.

一位72歲男性患者因多發性肝細胞癌,接受了釔90放射性栓塞治療。治療後進行之內成對發生以及碳11-acetate正子/核磁共振同步掃描。發現在碳11-acetate正子影像上呈現吸收反轉現象—肝癌部分已無明顯吸收,正常肝實質部分卻呈現高吸收。藉由先進的正子/核磁共振同步掃描,我們能推斷肝實質吸收增加的部分應為治療之後的變化,並得以避免誤診為肝癌侵犯或治療失敗。
