Information organization is one of the library's core work. Well-designed library information organization helps create quality reader services. In order to explore issues and development related to information organization faced by the library in recent years, this paper is divided into five parts: first is the introduction; second is the transformation role of library cataloger; third is metadata interoperability and data sharing among institutions; fourth is the vision of the new cataloging standard (i.e. RDA); and fifth is the conclusion.
