This paper presents a control law for wind farms equipped with doubly‐fed induction generators (DFIG) operating in a dispersed network with a complex load. Stability issues, as load increases, are more frequent in electrical networks. Then different kind of problems have appeared and it is expected that many others problems will do in the next future. In this way, looking for contributing to the grid stability, a wind farm control law based on Passivity Theory is proposed for active power meanwhile, while about reactive power, the wind farm is neutral to the grid. The proposed wind farm control is added to a power reference established by a Supervisory Control. Two general kind of loads are considered, static (linear ‐non linear) and induction motor ones. Finally, some simulations are presented to demonstrate the improvements made by the wind farm control.
