Flow and Convective Heat Transfer of Multi‐walled Carbon Nanofluids

並列摘要

Nanofluids with various mass fractions of multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4%), abbreviated as MWNT, were prepared using the "two‐step" method. The stability and flow and convective heat transfer characteristics of nanofluids inside a vertical serpentine tube were analyzed by means of experiments. The experiment results showed that its stability was very good and it can keep homogeneously dispersed for more than a month and has almost no precipitation. Adding nanoparticles worsened the flow characteristic, but its convective heat transfer characteristic improved outstandingly and increased by the rise of Reynolds number, indicating that MWNT‐water nanofluids have wide application prospects in heat transfer filed.
