Single Emulsion with Curable and Bendable Continuous Phase by Microfluidic Emulsion Technology

MD700, a UV light curable fluid, is tested for single emulsion. The microfluidic device for the emulsion is fabricated by lithographic techniques and no surface treatment is needed during the process. The emulsion is accomplished with water as droplets in MD700 and the droplets stack and form a honeycomb structure at the reservoir which can be cured by UV light exposure. The surfactant Pluronic F-127 is added to water to help stabilize the water in oil emulsion.
