Based on the study of the anti-breaking technology, the anti-breaking mechanism of Fe-based shape memory alloy (SMA) nut was analyzed in the paper; the calculation model of the load distribution in the newlydesigned bolt connection was established, and the antibreaking performance of the new-type nut was appraised based on the comparison with the ordinary bolt connection. The results show that the self-locking frictional moment in the thread connection of the new-type nut made of the alloy is considerably increased, and the uniformity of the axial load distributed among every screw tooth is also improved because of the characteristics of Fe-based Shape Memory Alloy,. So, the failure phenomena, such as thread-connection loosing, disengaging and thread fatigue fracture, are effectively prevented.
