Hence, in his Seeing Homeland Again: The New Discourse of Overseas Chinese Literature, he has successfully employed the applications of new discourse perspectives and approaches, outlined new research outcomes and shown strong humanistic care in the research of Chinese literature in Singapore and Malaysia.
