太極拳方案介入對社區高齡者功能性體適能之影響成效

Effects of Tai Chi training program on functional fitness in community-dwelling older adults

摘要


本研究旨在探討12週太極拳方案介入課程對社區高齡者功能性體適能的影響。受試者以嘉義縣45位社區高齡者為研究對象,將其分配至太極拳組 (TCG:23位) 和控制組 (CG:22位)。太極拳組參與為期12週、每週兩次的太極拳訓練課程;控制組則維持原本的生活型態。兩組在太極拳方案介入前、後均進行功能性體適能檢測,再將所得資料以雙因子重複量數共變數分析(ANCOVA)進行瞭解太極拳方案介入對社區高齡者功能性體適能是否具有顯著影響之成效。結果發現TCG 在開眼單腳站立、30秒坐椅站立和30秒屈臂測試等項目具有顯著進步成效(p<.05),而CG 均未達顯著差異 (p>.05)。從研究結果得知經由12 週的太極拳方案介入可有效延緩社區高齡者肌肉力量、平衡能力之衰退速度,這將有助於高齡者維持日常活動的執行能力。

This study examined the effect of twelve-week group Tai Chi training program on functional fitness of elderly in community-dwelling. Forty-five subjects were in community-dwelling were volunteered for this study. Subjects were randomly assigned into Tai Chi group (TCG, n=23) or control group (CG, n=22). The Tai Chi group participated in group training twice a week for twelve-week. All subjects were undergone for functional fitness test before and after twelve-week training. The data was analyzed by ANCOVA, and the significance was set at α=.05. The results showed that single-foot standing test with eyes-opened, 30-s chair stand and 30-s arm curl significantly increased after twelve-week Tai Chi training program. Therefore, our study results conclude that Tai Chi may effectively helpful against the decline of muscle strength and balance ability of elderly individuals in community-dwelling.
