On the Relationship between the music of the Tang Dynasty and the South Korean Words used in Literature

Men of Letters in South Korea knew words from Yan music of the Tang Dynasty. Yan music was also known as Tang music in the neighboring countries. Tang Music entered South Korea through the Emperor bestowing it, or asking the Emperor for it. Tang Music was used widely in the court banquets and ritual ceremonies. In South Korea, Tang Music was the combination of the art form of music, dance, musical instrument and performances. Words were only part of the lyrics. Tang Music belongs to music category while words literature. Upon entering South Korea, Tang Music had countless relationships with South Korean words and literature. On the one hand, Tang Music promoted words spreading in South Korea, and on the other, it restricted the initiation of filling words by South Korean men of letters, so that words could not become the main genre of Chinese literature in South Korea.
