摘要

氯氣製造紙漿之方法，與石灰法不同，前者能製造高級漂白紙漿，後者僅能製造品質低劣之紙漿。本法亦與碱氯法不同，本法僅需氯氣，無需氫氧化鋼，碱氯法則同時需要氯氣及氫氧化鈉。氯氣法之主要精神，在於利用廢棄無用之氯氣，其數量在臺碱公司安順廠，每日即達九噸左右，可供生產20噸紙漿之用。適宜於氯氣法製造之纖維原料，如蔗渣、稻草等，其產量在本省均屬價格低廉之造紙原料。在製造過程中，其特點有二：一為利用石網代替碱氯法中之燒碱，二為在氯化後必需先用石灰水中和之，然後再加入少量燒碱使紙漿解離。氯氣法價格低廉，其低廉之程度，足能與世界上公認最低廉之硫酸鹽法相提並論，由於其設備費用遠較後者為低，尤宜於臺灣採用。用氯氣法製成之紙漿，品質優良，若與磨木漿混合，可用以製成價格低廉之新聞紙，根據羅東紙廠試驗之結果，已足能證明。本法如獲發展，同時能使碱業、農工業副產品、文化界等直接獲其利益，化廢物為有之日用必需品，為目前直得一試之途徑。如遇本省無過剩氯氣存在，亦可立即改變為碱氯法而繼續進行生氣，不致因以停工。（本文內容已在申請專利中）。

This chlorine process of paper pulp manufacture is a modification of the Alkaline Chlorine Process, in which the caustic pretreatment is substituted by lime. The third washing stage of the latter process is split into two steps; the lime neutralization and the caustic disintegration. The amount of sodium hydroxide used in this process is only 1% to the pulp produced. Since there is a large amount of waste chlorine available here, the. production cost of this process is comparable to that of sulfate one in this island.
