高級烴之氧化--由石蠟試製二鹽基酸之研究

Oxidation of High Molecular Hydrocarbons Preparation of Dibasic Acid from Oxidation of Paraffin Wax

摘要


利用中國石油公司所產石蠟在液相下,充分氧化,得不純之二鹽基酸,同時含有多鹽基酸,及一鹽基酸之氧化衍生物等複雜混合物。使用氧氣、空氣、或先後用空氣及硝酸,在一定反應條件及硬脂酸錳,環烷酸錳等觸媒存在下,可使氧化繼續進行至生成物之鹼化價達400以上。此項氧化生成物,在室溫下具有流動性,酸價300-400,鹼化價400-600,平均每一分子含有可能鹼化羣1.57-2.50。此不純之二鹽基酸混合物中,含有水溶性酸,及水不溶性酸,水溶性酸中又可分為結晶部份及非結晶部份。由石蠟製二鹽基酸,可供酸醇樹脂、可塑劑及多元酯等原料用。

The aim of the present investigation was to study the feasible conditions for the preparation of dibasic acids from the oxidation of paraffin wax, which is now being in abundant supply as by-product from the CPC refinery. Oxidation of paraffin in the liquid phase gave a mixture of dibasic acids and polybasic acidic substances together with some oxidized derivatives of carboxylic acids. Free oxygen or air was used as oxidizing agent. Some times, oxidation was carried with air and nitric acid respectively for first and second stage. Manganese stearate or manganese naphthenate was used as catalyst. Best yields of dibasic acid (21.4% conversicn of paraffin) were obtained when paraffin waxes were oxidized in liquid phase with air for 65 hrs. and then with nitric acid for 20 hrs. The primary oxidation products were found to be fluid at room temperature, which had an acid value of 300-400; saponification value of 400-600; average saponificable groups, 1.57-2.5 per molecule. These products, consisted of water-soluble solid acid (crystalline) and water-insoluble liquid acids, give promise for use in manufacture of alkyd resins, polyesters and plasticizers.
