由香茅醛合成羥化雄刈萱油醛之研究

Synthesis of Hydroxycitronellal from Citronellal

摘要


本試驗係用88%右旋香茅醛(d-citronellal)1克分子,與31.4%形之酸性亞硫酸鈉(sodium bisulfite)水溶液0.95克分子,在零下5°C起反應,製成香茅醛酸性亞硫酸鈉附加物(citronellal bisulfate adduct),產率可達98.3%。用香茅醛酸性亞硫酸鈉附加物50公克,乙醚100公撮及純硫酸70公克在零下20°C反應,反應完畢,於同溫度下,以碳酸鈉中和至pH值7.0後,再用碳酸氫鈉使pH值為8.5,用正己烷及苯分別萃取,萃取液經水洗及乾燥後在壓力5mmHg以下分餾,卽得羥化雄刈萱油醛(hydroxycitronellal),沸點116°C/5mmHg,折光率,n_D^(20)=1.456,旋光度α_D^(20)=+8°22,產率可達47%。

d-Citronellal (88%) and sodium bisulfite (31.4%) were first reacted in a mole ratio of 1:0.95 at -5°C to give a citronellal bisulfite adduct (yield 98.3%, theoretical). The adduct (50g) was allowed to react with ether (100ml) and pure sulfuric acid (70g) at -20°C. After the reaction was completed, the reaction solution was neutralized to pH 7 by adding sodium carbonate, further adjusted to pH 8.5 with sodium bicarbonate, and extracted with n-hexane and benzene. The extract, after washing with water and drying, was evaporated to drive away the solvent and then fractionally distilled under a pressure of 5mm Hg. The hydroxycitronellal obtained had b.p. 116°C/5mm Hg, n_D^(20)1.456 andα_D^(20)+8°22'. The yield was 47%.
