碳水化合物與芳香烴化合物觸媒反應之研究

摘要


甲苯與葡萄糖之縮合反應在無水氯化鋁觸媒存在下進行。關於反應物與觸媒用量以及反應溫度與時間等加以詳細之檢討。由產品之紅外線吸收光譜及分子量,碳、氫、與氫氧基含量等分析結果,證明縮合物確雙苯基或雙甲苯基葡萄糖(diphenyl or ditolyl glucitol)。產品之溶解度及融點,亦均加以測定。結果縮合物不溶於一般溶劑,但溶於丙酮及醋酸酐。由縮合物之溶解度及融點,推斷雙甲苯基葡萄糖可能爲對位雙甲苯基葡萄糖。碳水化合物──醣類,與石油衍生物──芳香烴化合物之觸媒縮合反應,自1957年始有簡單消息報導。並謂產品可用為清潔劑,醫藥,可塑物增靭劑,樹脂及殺菌劑等。但迄今仍無原始文獻可資借鏡。本反應主要產物有二種可能性,即為一分子或二分子芳香烴與一分子單醣縮合,其代表反應式如下:(方程式略)。本實驗採取單醣與單核芳香烴反應,並對產物之結構式,反應條件,以及產品之物理與化學性質詳加研討。

The catalytic condensation of benzene or toluene with glucose was investigated and the effects of variation in amount of reacting materials and catalyst, reaction temperature. and reaction time were discussed. Anhydrous aluminum chloride was chosen as catalyst. In order to clarify the structure of the new condensation product, the infrared absorption spectra, molecular weights and the contents of hydroxyl group were detected in this study. It may be confirmed that the condensation product was 1• deoxy-I, 1 diphenyl-n-glucitol or 1-deoxy-1,1-di (p-tolyl)-n-glucitol separately. The solubilites in various solvents and melting points of the condensation products were tested. It was found that the condensation products were insoluble in many common solvents except acetone and acetic anhydride. An inference was drawn from these data that the condensation product from tolulene and glucose was considered to be 1-deoxy-1,1-di(p-tolyl)-D-glucitol.
