摘要


由甲苯與甲醛藉硫酸觸媒反應所得二甲苯甲醛樹脂可以與酜酐縮合,所得縮合物色澤呈暗褐色,性脆弱。若與酜酐酸醇樹脂共縮合,所得樹脂性質改良甚多,惟仍未能適用於塗料。倘與油脂改良之酜酐酸醇樹脂縮合,則可製得優良之烤漆型及自然乾燥型假漆。

Xylene-formaldehyde resins were obtained by condensing xylene with formaldehyde. These resins might be condensed with phthalic anhydride to give a brittle and dark brown products. When condensing with alkyd resins, the qualities of the products were improved greatly. Excellent baking varnishes and air drying varnishes were obtained by condensing xylene formaldehyde resins wit h oils (drying or nondrying oils) modified alkyd of phthalic anhydride.
