用4-氧戊酸丁酯為原料,應用鎳觸媒劑,還原胺化為5-甲基-2〔一氮一羰伍圜〕。在NH_3/4-氧戊酸丁酯比2以上,反應溫度為140-180°C,及氨水濃度在25 ~28%(重量)間,共產率可達90%以上。
The reductive amination of butyllevulinate by use of Ni-kieselguhr catalyst gave more than 90% yield of 5-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. The proper conditions for the reaction were the mole ratio of NH_3 to butyllevulinate above 2 and react ion temperature 140-180°C. The amount of the catalyst required to obtain maximum yield was found to be 0.025 mole Ni per 100 ml of the reactants, and the use of butyl alcohol as solvent was helpful to the reaction.
