四氧環冠狀醚由於其孔洞小,故與大小相近之鋰離子具有特殊之錯合及選擇性能力,這使它在分離分學、分析化學、有機合成及核能工業上具有應用的潛力。本文就有關其合成及提高產率的研究,其在不同溶劑下之熱力學性質、溶劑萃取及選擇性電極等至1987年及部份1988年的資料作一系統而深入的回顧。
Crown ethers with four oxygen atoms can selectively form very stable complexes with lithium ion. This unique property may have a potential application in the fields of separation chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic synthesis and nuclear industry in the near future. This paper contains systematical reviews until 1987 and parts of 1988 including the matters relate to the synthesis with an increment of the yield and the solvent extractions of metal ions, the studies on the thermodynamic properties of crown-4 complexes in various solvents and the application in ion selective electrode technique.
