摘要
氣相層析質譜法集分離、純化與鑑定結構於一體，其基本原理及功能在本文中有簡略的說明。文中並簡單介紹如何解析由氣相層析質譜法或直接由質譜法所得的質譜圖。最後說明此法的應用，尤其強調衍生物的製備及其重要性。

The basic principle of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, a hyphenated method, is explained with emphasis on the role of each component par t. This is followed by a rather detailed expository discussion on the procedures for interpreting a mass spectrum thus generated by the technique. The applicability of this technique in analysis (separation, purification, and identification) is lightly touched upon, wherein the emphasis lies on the importance of derivatization of certain groups of compounds.
