摘要


甲烷為天然氣中之主要成份,是一種價廉易取得之原料,如能將其轉化成高碳數之石油產品,則可大大提高其利用價值,但由於甲烷分子之穩定性高不易活化,使得轉化過程不易進行。過去一、二十年來人們亦嘗試各種不同途徑,期能使甲烷化成高碳數化合物,此些方法大體可分成兩類,其一為經由甲烷衍生物再合成高碳數化合物,另一種為甲烷直接轉化成高碳數化合物,本文將討論其催化製程及未來發展趨勢。

Methane is the major component of natural gas, an inexpensive and accessible energy source. It would be extremely valuable to be able to convert methane to more synthetic petroleum-replacement products. However, higher molecular stability of methane makes it difficult to convert methane into other useful chemicals. Various routes to the formation of higher hydrocarbons from methane have been investigated and will be discussed in this review article. There are two general types of methane conversion to higher hydrocarbons, one is involving methane derivative and the other one is direct self-coupling. The development of catalytic process will also be discussed.
