摘要


本文乃是針對有機分子的分子結構和二次非線性光學性質的關係及材料發展做一概括性的探討。分子結構的改變如電子施體受體強度、分子內電荷轉移能力、共軛長度及其芳香化的程度對二次非線性光學係數β的影響將是探討的重點。二次非線性光學材料的發展如有機晶體、主鏈和側鏈型高分子、交聯狀高分子及LB薄膜材料的發展將做概述性的介紹。

This article describes the structure-second order nonlinear optical (NLO) property relationships of organic molecules and the development of the second order nonlinear optical materials. The effects of the structural changes such as electron donors and acceptors, intramolecular charge transfer, cojugation length and anharmonicity on the second order nonlinear optical coefficient β are discussed. Various classes of second order nonlinear optical materials such as organic crystals, main chain and side chain polymers, crosslinked polymers and LB films are also described in this article.
