摘要
有機非線性光學材料之應用和元件被回顧，χ^((2))元件之品質已經達到美軍方之要求，但χ^((3))元件之品質才剛開始步入實用階段，在將來電光效應之二次元件和全光學之三次元件的有機非線性光學材料會益形重要。

The applications and devices of organic nonlinear opticaI materials were reviewed. While the performance of χ^((2)) devices has met the US military requirements, the quality of χ^((3)) devices begins to approach practical uses. Both the electro-optic second order and the all-optical third order applications of organic nonlinear materials will become more important in the future.
