The novel carbon clusters has been the subject of intense scruting since the discovery of facle methods for its preparation. There has been considerable interest in fullerenes both in their physical and chemical properties and their potential applications. In this paper we reported the history of discover and general physicochemical properties of fullerenes and focused on the electrochemistry of fullerenes. There are three catagories of electrochemistry of fullerenes have been discussed. First catagory is fullerene s in solution which shows six successive steps of one electron reversible reduction and one irreversible oxidation with mutielectron transfer. Second catagory is fullerene films which shows cation doping into films when reduction and retention in the films after reoxidation. Third catagory is LB films of fullerene. The monolayer LB film shows electrochemical behavior similar with the fullerenes in solution. The multilayer LB films have doping and dedoping behavior similar with thin films of fullerene.
