四腳柱狀氧化鋅鬚晶在水平管狀高溫爐利用蒸發-氧化法,於恒溫950°C加熱30分鐘,藉由氬氣和氧氣混合氣氛下成功製備而成,製備中以鋅粉為起始物,無需其他催化劑。合成之白色產物具有四支如針狀之腳柱,其腳柱長度~0.5-3μm。除此之外,氧化鋅產物經由掃描式、穿透式電子顯微鏡與X光繞射儀檢測鑑定為單晶六角纖鋅礦結構;經熱處理(1100°C)後可得到更佳結晶性與較大尺寸之產物。所有產物(包含經熱處理產物)之光學特性顯示在室溫下有不同強度的紫外光放射 (~386 nm)及綠光放射(~510 nm)。証實熱處理會明顯影響四腳柱狀氧化鋅鬚晶光學特性。
The tetrapod ZnO whiskers was successfully synthesized in a horizontal tube furnace by a evaporation-oxidation that was controlled by the gas mixture of Ar and O_2 at constant temperature 950 °C for 30 minutes. Zn powders were used as reactant without catalyst during synthesis. The formed white products had four needle-like legs and their length were in the range of ~0.5-3 μm. Nevertheless, they were identified as hexagonal wurtzite structure with single crystalline by application of SEM、TEM and XRD. The calcined tetrapod ZnO whiskers (1100 °C) had better crystallinity and larger sizes. Optical measurements of ZnO products (including calcined products) revealed different intensity of UV emission and green emission at room temperature. It was demonstrated that the calcination had a significant influence on optical property of tetrapod ZnO whiskers.
