A thorough introduction to the application of biomaterials on drug delivery is described. These biomaterials refer to substances that are used in the replacement of biomechanical tissues or in possession of biofunctions. In this article, the focus on chemical structure of biomaterials in relation to their unique physico-chemical characteristics and applicable potential is provided to readers. Also, these scientific information can be possible to support the develpement of a better and safety device in the future.
