Progress in Drug Delivery Systems and Technologies for Traditional Chinese Herbs

摘要


傳統中草藥可以作為新藥開發的良好來源。新治療劑研發過程中經常遇到的關鍵問題包含:溶解度差、安定性不足,生體可利用率低等。近來已提出有效而且實用的藥品傳輸技術,包括固體分散體,奈米乳劑,原位凝膠和微膠囊用於改善中草藥成分的溶解度、吸收、體內半衰期、安定性,並且可以改善整體治療效果。本文介紹了數種代表性的製劑技術,能夠用以顯著改善常用藥材之活性成分的藥動學和藥效學性質。

Traditional Chinese herbs serve as a good source for new drug discovery. Critical problems, such as poor solubility, insufficient stability and low bioavailability often occur during research and development processes of new therapeutic agents. Recently, efficient and practical drug delivery technologies, including solid dispersion, nanoemulsion, in situ gel and microcapsules have been proposed for improving solubility, absorption, in vivo half-life and stability of herbal components, and thus improving the overall therapeutic effects. This article introduces several representative pharmaceutical technologies to significantly improve the pharmacokinetic and pharma-codynamic characteristics of active components from commonly used herbs.
