Nearly 40% of the global plastic products are made of polyolefin materials. They are widely used in packing consumption, medical care and various mechanical parts in industry and transportation, which strongly affects the social and economic development as well as technological advancement. In the development of new type of polyolefins, monomer/comonomer, catalyst, and polymerization process are the three key factors governing different composition, structures and physical properties of polyolefin materials. The preparation of polyolefin materials with diverse physical and mechanical properties are widely used in various development of products. This article aims to introduce three types of polyolefin catalysts, co-catalyst, and carrier and discuss the polymerization experiments, including carrier preparation, reaction pressure and temperature as well as hydrogen dosage, to understand the influence of those parameters during polyolefin polymerization.
