A Visual Model of Artistic Creativity and its Application

並列摘要

Based upon the close relationship between the creative arts and the development of right-brain potential, and coupled with the author's personal cross-cultural artistic and art education experience, a visual model is developed that explains the creative process. This article relates the author's experience of a music-induced trance-like state and uses a visual model to explain how to more fully realize the potential of the right brain to think visually. An educational model is also described that will contribute to the development of a vivacious right brain. This model demonstrates how each of us possesses creative potential and how, after this potential has been awakened, the resulting stimulating experience can add meaning to our lives. As Joseph Beuys said, “Every human being is an artist, a freedom being, called to participate in transforming and reshaping the conditions, thinking and structures that shape and inform our lives"
