並列摘要

In recent years, 〞wellbeing〞 has been a concern in the modern society. Faced with serious pollution of the environment, people eagerly long for wellbeing. Besides pursuing healthy foods, people also constantly seek for an ideal residence. Research has shown that the modern environment and building materials have serious impacts on human body, leading to anxiety on the living environment. Moreover, it is found that the present homes have lost the coexisting and self-adjusting capacity with natural environment. Since ancient times, Chinese Feng Shui has been the foundation, criteria, and guiding ideology for site selection, planning, and design. Based on the ancient people’s observations and experiences to the environment, the Chinese developed a series of environmentally harmonious and unique survival mode, namely Feng Shui. It has the same source and very similar to sustainable design in modern architectural design. This paper discusses environmental Feng Shui from the perspective of 〞sustainability〞, and tries to explore the sustainable perspective in residence site selection by probing into the green effects of the ancient site selection method. This study is a systematic research on the Environmental School of Feng Shui, and combines the ideology of modern sustainability-building development, in order to make current environmental design more inherent, realistic and sustainable.
