大專院校教師之工作滿意、休閒動機與背景變項以及科系主任之領導行為對教師休閒參與之影響研究

The Effects of College Faculties’ Job Satisfaction, Leisure Motivation, Selected Demographic Variables and Department Chairpersons’ Leadership Behavior on Faculties’ Leisure Participation

摘要


本研究之目的在於了解台灣南部大專院校教師之工作滿意、休閒動機與背景變項,以及科系主任之領導行為對教師休閒參與之影響情形。研究對象為南部三縣市38所大專院校之教師,以隨機與叢集抽樣法取500位教師為研究對象。以工作滿意量表、休閒動機量表、休閒參與量表以及領導行為描述量表為研究工具,進行調查。所收集之資料以SPSS統計套裝軟體進行描述性、信度、積差相關以及迴歸等統計方法分析。研究結果發現:(一)在發出500份的問卷中,回收348份(69.6%),得到有效問卷312份,佔所有調查問卷62.4%。(二)受訪教師中有接近一半的人一週的休閒活動時間低於5小時,顯見教師在工作之餘仍然忙碌或是不甚願意參與休閒活動,但亦有19.2%的受訪教師每週願意花10小時以上之時間參與休閒活動。(三)大專教師之整體休閒動機偏向正向動機,但實際之休閒參與卻偏低,可見教師常因某些因素而阻礙了他們去從事休閒活動。(四)大專教師在拓展知識領與以及與人產生互動之動機最強,可見其參與休閒之意念與欲望深受學術與輔導工作特性之影響。另外,他們也想藉著參與活動而使自己感覺很好,以及為了放鬆情緒。可見教師的工作可能常有失落感,而想再別的方面找到成就感。亦不難了解教師緊張的學校生活。(五)教師對工作之滿意度並不高,極可能嚴重影響教師之休閒參與。(六)教師之工作滿意度對其休閒活動最具預測力。

The purpose of this study was to understand the effects of college faculties job satisfaction, leisure motivation, selected demographic variables and department chairpersons leadership behavior on faculties leisure participation. A total of 500 faculties in 10 institutions were random sampled by random sampling and cluster sampling from 38 institutions in the south of Taiwan. The Self-designed Demographic Information Questionnaire, Job Satisfaction Survey, Leisure Motivation Scale, Leisure Participation Scale, and Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire were administered to examine the relationships among those variables. Descriptive statistics, reliability tests, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analyses were used to analyze the collected data by the SPSS. Primary findings and conclusions to emerge from this study include the followings: (1) Total number of 312 useful questionnaires were returned and the effective response rate was 62.4 %. (2) The time the near 50 % of faculties spent for their recreation was below 5 hours, and 19.2 % of faculties spent more than 10 hours for it. (3) Faculties had positive leisure motivation, but low frequencies of leisure participation. (4) Faculties had high motivation to expand their knowledge and to establish the interactive relationship with people. (5) Faculties were not very satisfied with their own job. (6) Faculties job satisfaction was the most predictive to leisure participation.
