弘光科技大學醫務管理系科畢業生就業情形暨學用配合之探討

The Discussion of Employment Situation and Disposition of Practicing What's Studied at School in Graduates from Department of Healthcare Administration, Hung Kuang University

摘要


自1991年起成立醫務管理科,歷經醫務管理系,至今以培育約3000多位畢業生進入職場。為瞭解歷屆畢業生在醫管領域就業和畢業生就業情形暨學用配合之探討,故針對本校歷屆醫管畢業生進行相關的研究調查。本研究採問卷調查,問卷的設計是由研究者參考相關文獻自行編定的結構式問卷經專家信效度評估後。將研究對象予以編號,採郵寄問卷法來收集研究資料,寄出1372份問卷,電話追繳2次,共回收271份問卷,回收率為19.8%。統計分析顯示,回卷者有231人目前正就業中,高達85.2%的就業率。畢業生以服務於工商業及其他機構為主,其次則是醫療院所。在獲得第一份所花費的時間中,都在未畢業前即找到工作最多。且其所具備之能力,多能符合市場上的需求。工作穩定性方面,以沒有換過工作為多數,雖有轉換過工作,大都也在1次以內。學用配合方面,研究結果顯示所選擇的系所當中,以醫管不相關系所比相關系所多,可見畢業生大都朝多方向發展,不單單侷限於醫管的領域中。目前就業者當中,任職於醫療相關機構比非醫療相關機構者多。畢業生在學實習期間,曾實習過的部門以病歷室為主,因為病歷管理是醫院管理中重要的一環。畢業生認為實習對目前工作的影響,認為有幫助佔大多數,可見學生對於在學實習都持正面的看法。整體工作滿意度而言,醫管畢業生普遍對工作滿意度在「尚可接受」的程度。就業於醫療相關機構的工作待遇、福利,都高於非醫療相關機構。根據此次研究顯示,畢業生畢業後升學的比例不是很高,建議可多提供升學方面的訊息。

The Department of Healthcare Administration at Hung Kuang University was first founded in 1991 and went through several transformations over the years. The department currently has accumulated more than 3000 graduates who are now under employment. We composed a research on our alumnae in order to assess the employment situation in healthcare administration field, and to find out the disposition of their practicing what s studied in school. The study was based on questionnaire-method, which was designed by researchers who referred to related literature and revised into one well-structural questionnaire. The subjects were individually numbered; the data were collected by mailing and returning questionnaire by postal office. One thousand three hundred and seventy two copies of questionnaire were sent out, 271 were collected back, with twice phone follow-ups. The return rate was 19.8%. Statistical analysis on the collected data revealed that among 271 subjects, 231 were currently under employment. The employment rate reached 85.2%. Our graduates mostly worked in industrial or commercial institutions, with second majority working in medical facilities. Most of alumnae found their first jobs prior to graduation, and were quite capable at work. Work stability appeared high. The frequency of job changing stayed very low, mostly only changed once. The results also showed that among diverse subjects provided by the university, our subjects studied more of non-healthcare administration- related subjects than that of healthcare administration. From the aspect of whether graduates practiced what they’ ve studied in school, the disposition indicated that alumnae did not limit themselves within the domain of healthcare administration, but elaborated into various directions. For those who were under employment, our graduates who worked in health-related institutions surpassed those who worked at non-health related institutions. During the internship prior to graduation, our alumnae had brief experience working in medical charts room which occupied an important role in healthcare administration. Most of them found such experience posed a positive and influential effect toward their later choice in work search. The graduates showed acceptable satisfaction toward their current position. The salary and welfare provided by healthcare-administration related institutions appeared higher than those of non-related. However, the ratio of continuation of schooling did not seem high. The thought of university providing more information on the aspect was suggested.
