The purpose of this report is to present the nursing experience of a patient with acute compartment syndrome post trauma of hand. During the period of care, the author assessed the patient's condition using the Gordon's Functional Health Assessment Guide. Data was collected by interview, observation, and physical examination. Show major nursing problems were: 1. anxiety. 2. pain. 3. risk of infection . 4. self-care deficit. In this period the author provide suitable nursing activities of caring, listening and empathy to assist the patient to face disease and develop the patient's ability to care for himself. Nursing experience from this case report can help nurses who take care of similar cases.
