The purpose of this report is to present the nursing experience of a patient with left leg gas gangrene. The patient had physical, and psychological distress after post 33 times of debridement. The intensive of treatment of antibiotics treatment was given. The Gordon s caring theory was applied in this patient. The tool of data collection was interview and observation. The major nursing problems were: infection, pain, phobia, and body image disturbance. The strategy of nursing care was listening, accompanying, showing empathy, and providing medical treatment information to help solving symptom distresses. Finally, the patient was successful in facing disease and treatment. This report provided a basis of information for caring a patient with left leg gas gangrene.
