Appling Nominal Group Technique to Explor Barriers and support of Smoking Cessation among High School and Vocational Students

Self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 50 students from three senior and vocational high schools in Taipei City, Taiwan, who had smoked in the past 6 months prior to the research recruitment. Nominal Group Technique was used to determine smoking cessation difficulties faced with the participants and their demand of cessation support. The results show that s senior and vocational high school students have similar views on peer pressure and information support. The findings serve as a reference for plan development for tobacco hazards prevention among senior and vocational high schools in the future.
