對唐君毅華嚴宗詮釋的反思

摘要


本文依唐君毅先生所著《中國哲學原論.原道篇.卷三》之內涵,討論唐先生對華嚴宗哲學的詮釋意見。唐先生以其哲學家的高度,疏理佛教哲學的原旨要義,從而為華嚴宗哲學說明意旨,本文討論的要點包括:唐君毅對佛教哲學的根本定位、以境行果定位四大哲學基本問題、以境行果對印度佛教發展的基本定位、以戒定慧對佛教工夫論的定位、對道生頓悟說的意旨定位、由唯識學開華嚴宗的脈絡定位、對唯識學問題意識的定位及其與華嚴學之關係、對唯識學非究竟了義之學的定位、對大乘起信論的功能定位、對華嚴宗基本類型與問題的定位、華嚴五教觀之基本風貌、華嚴對始教唯識及終教起信論的超越、華嚴立頓教的深度意旨、華嚴圓教與天台圓教的對比定位等。唐先生對這些問題都有深入且明確的討論,本文之作,既同時疏理唐先生的意旨,亦同時提出筆者的討論意見。

This article aims to discuss the interpretational opinions Tang Jun Yi which gives to Hua-Yan school in his great writing Original Expounding to the Chinese Philosophy_ Dao section_Volum 3. As a profound professor, Tang has done a lot of work on studying Buddhist theory through the philosophical approach and giving his interpretive opinion including define the theoretical value of Hua-Yan school. Here in this paper, the author will show how Tang Jun Yi’s works has done. 1. How he announces the ultimate function of Buddhist philosophy. 2. How he uses the categories of Jing(境,situation), Xing(行, action), Guo(果,perfection) to classify basic philosophical problems and Buddhist essential thoughts. 3. How he uses Jie(戒,discipline), Ding (定,meditation) and Hui(慧,wisdom) to define Buddhist practical theory. 4. How he explains the intuition theory of Dao-Sheng(道生) and the theoretical meaning of Yogacara and its relationship with Hua-Yan school. 5. How Tang defines its application in Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana. 6. How he introduces the ultimate problem that Hua-Yan school is dealing with and compares Hua-Yan school with Yogacara, Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana and Tian-Tai school. The above issues were all being seriously treated by Tang Jun Yi and giving his profound interpretational idea. In this article the author will illustrate the theoretical details of all the topics and also show his critics towards Tang Jun Yi’s interpretations.
