科技研發人員工作與非工作生活平衡之研究

A study on the R&D professionals' balance on work and non-work life in hi-tech industry

摘要


個人生活與家庭價值觀意識的提升,使工作生活平衡概念已普遍受到員工與管理者的高度重視。本研究皆在以工作生活平衡觀點,初探科技研發人員工作與非工作生活角色的責任及其相互影響情形,以及科技事業協助員工角色轉換之策略。本研究以半結構訪談法,採立意取樣選取新竹科學園區8位研發人員進行訪談。訪談結果發現研發人員工作與非工作生活角色與責任之間其有相互影響關係,而組織採行工作生活平衡策略能有效促進員工工作與非工作生活平衡的提升。最後,研究者針對科技業研發人員、組織與人力資源管理者提出相關實務建議。

As there has been an increasing emphasis and recognition on one's private life and family values, HR professionals have given their optimum focus on how to achieve a balance between one's work and personal life. The purpose of this study then was two-fold. First it explored, from the work-life balance perspective, the respective roles, responsibilities, and the interaction of one's work and personal life. Secondly, the study aimed to better understand how the hi-tech companies helped their employees cope with the transition of these roles in these two areas. The study recruited eight R&D professionals from several hi-tech companies in Hsinchu Science Park for semi-structured interviews. The findings suggested that work did affect one's personal life regarding their roles and responsibilities, and vice versa. Furthermore, the implementation of strategies to balance work and personal life within companies turned out to be a highly effective mechanism for employees to achieve this goal more easily. In the end, the researchers also provided a few practical suggestions in this regard for employees in hi-tech industry and HR practitioners.
