摘要

本文主旨說明台灣基督長老教會『支持原住民恢復權利與自治』決議文形成過程與當代意義。決議文中最核心的一段話即是陳明原住民族歷史文化與台灣歷史文化、以及台灣主體性建構的緊密關係。作者指出，決議文最重要的當代意義是根本恢復、建立部落族人們的自信心與尊嚴。上帝給原住民族每一個不同族群美好、特殊又尊貴的身份。所以，原住民族必需認同自己的身份及母體文化，好讓我們不致於流逝在極度世俗、個人、現實的金錢與權利的競逐中弱化族群身份的認同。作者並認為，決議文對社會的信仰見證為：信仰基督見證台灣是多元豐富的文化地貌、信仰基督誠實對待自己、台灣原住民的根源豐富台灣貧瘠的台灣史、重視語言文化、強調對話與協商。

The purpose of this article is to explain the process and the contemporary significance of the Resolution of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan in Support of the Restoration of the Rights and Autonomy of Taiwan Indigenous Peoples. The core of the Resolution is to assert that Taiwan Indigenous histories and cultures and Taiwan's histories and cultures are inseparable, and central to the construction of Taiwan's collective subjectivity. The author points out that the Resolution is to fundamentally restore and reestablish the self-esteem and dignity of the tribal people. As God gives a beautiful, special and distinguished identity for each ethnic group, Indigenous peoples must build up solid identity. The author also believes that the testimony of the Resolution's includes: witnessing the diverse and rich cultural land form of Taiwan, enabling one to be honest with oneself in light of Christian faith, enriching of Taiwan's barren history through Indigenous cultures, valuing language and culture, and emphasizing dialogue and negotiation.
