In this article, we shall start with the review of how the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have dealt with the issues of Indigenous Peoples' mineral rights. We will then look into the sources of these rights, including proper rights, cultural rights, and the right to self-determination. Further, we will look into how the United Nations UN Human Rights Committee has judged in relevant cases. Finally, we will what best practices have been offered by the United Nations.
