博物館教育與商品設計開發-以國立故宮博物院典藏清院本清明上河圖紙本遊戲為例

Museum Gift Design in the Taipei National Palace Museum: Ching-Ming Hand Scroll Monopoly Game as an Example

摘要


博物館教育在臺灣已經達到基本的共識。現今博物館不管在教育活動的策劃安排,或者是展場設計,大多能夠考量觀眾取向的議題,以達成博物館以人為主的知識傳播與大眾教育的目標。筆者認為所謂的博物館經驗,除了參觀前後所延伸的數位典藏、教案教材以及參觀現場,博物館商品也可以是博物館教育的延伸。因此本文以博物館商品為教育的延伸為理念,以臺北故宮博物院典藏的清院本清明上河圖為例,提出清明上河圖結合大富翁紙上遊戲的設計作品。本文為筆者開發此文化商品的案例報告,主要集中在創意開發以及解決文化內容與商品的討論,並不涉及材料、製作預算與商業流通等議題。在結合清明上河圖與紙本遊戲的製作過程中,筆者選定建築、街景、人物以及風俗為四大教育主題,分別就紙本遊戲的基本結構,一一討論文化內容導入遊戲的設計與製作。期以此設計成果,擴大臺灣博物館教育結合文化商品設計的討論。

Museum gift shops have been a neglected topic in Taiwan. The museum literature of Western countries suggests that there are some relevant museum gift shop issues. These not only include ethical and administrative issues, but also educational aspects. There is a growing awareness that museum gifts can serve as an extension of museum education. Viewing museum gifts as an educational instrument, this paper focuses on the gift design of the National Palace Museum in Taipei. The National Palace Museum owns one of the most important Chinese imperial art collections in the world, and attracts many visitors to its gift shop. The National Palace Museum has also been actively developing art educational programs. It is suggested that there is a need to combine museum gifts with educational programs. The Ching-Ming Hand Scroll, one of the most famous paintings in the National Palace Museum's collection, was chosen for analysis. To design a Ching-Ming Hand Scroll-related museum gift, it is first necessary to review the current museum gift shop items in the National Palace Museum. The second half of this article is devoted to design problems encountered in developing the hand scroll into a Monopoly game set. Central issues include the selection of educational elements of the hand scroll and the balance between educational and entertainment aspects. Design issues, such as map and paper money layout, cards and figure design, are also discussed.
