From 1995 to 2002, marine shells were collected by scuba diving and snorkeling to a depth of 20 m from northeastern Taiwan. In total, 208 species in 52 families were collected. Among them, five species are newly record from Taiwan. In addition, a revised list of 272 species in 65 families is tabulated from previous studies. To date, a total of 340 species in 67 families of marine shells has been reported from northeastern Taiwan, with 98% similarity to those of Japan, and 66% to those of the Philippine Islands. Most of these species belong to the warm Kuroshio Current type. Color figures of the 208 species collected in this study are presented in this paper.
